Mauchline Young Farmers Annual Variety Concert required a dramatic and ambiguous programme cover design that complimented the sophistication and professionalism of this year's production. Titled "American Trilogy", the producers wanted to give nothing away and so a simple yet impactful design was required.
The Concept
The concert producers had the initial idea of using a simple American flag on a plain background to keep the cover as ambiguous as possible. Running with this idea I developed this approved concept that used the flag in a dramatic and dynamic way. By wrapping the flag around the front and back we could create more balance in the composition as the cast list contained significantly more girls than boys.
The Finished Product
After colour testing and making final adjustments the programme was sent to print. The producers were very pleased with the final outcome and the programme was bought by hundreds over the nights of the concert performances.
